Miley (2-3) pitched seven innings of one-run ball Thursday, allowing five hits and one walk while striking out three to capture the win against Boston.

The left-hander pitched into the seventh inning in just two of his first eight starts in 2017, but Miley's now accomplished that in two of his last three outings. Furthermore, the veteran has begun slowly chipping away at his career-worst walk rate (12.2 percent). Even with the large number of free passes he's handing out, Miley will take a career-best 2.82 ERA into his next start Wednesday against Pittsburgh.
