The Padres recalled Jacob from Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday.
Since his demotion to Triple-A in late July, Jacob has logged a 3.38 ERA and 1.28 WHIP alongside a 21:9 K:BB across 13.1 innings with the Chihuahuas. He'll now rejoin the Padres' bullpen to provide some extra depth with JP Sears headed down to the minors.
