The Padres included Abrams (lower leg) on their Arizona Fall League roster released Wednesday, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

The 21-year-old shortstop prospect saw his 2021 minor-league season come to an end in late June, when he sustained a fractured left tibia and sprained MCL while playing for Double-A San Antonio. Abrams has since resumed rehabbing at the Padres' spring facility in Peoria, Ariz., and he could be cleared to appear in games in the AFL if he continues to progress well in his recovery. Before sustaining the season-ending injury, Abrams hit .290 with two home runs and 13 stolen bases across 183 plate appearances for San Antonio.
