Marquez left the game after just 37 pitches with one out into the third inning and the Padres trailing 1-0. The 31-year-old allowed just one run courtesy of a solo homer by Joe Mack in the second, and he did not walk a batter after giving out multiple passes in five straight games. On the season, Marquez now possesses a 5.17 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 34:22 K:BB in 47 innings.
