The Padres transferred Adam (shoulder) to the 60-day injured list Monday.
He last pitched June 29, so Adam will now be ruled out until at least Aug. 29. The Padres acquired Chris Stratton from the Pirates and optioned him to Triple-A, and Adam was moved to the 60-day IL to clear up a 40-man roster spot.
