Higashioka (illness) will start at catcher and bat eighth in Monday's game versus the Tigers, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Higashioka missed the previous two contests because he was under the weather. However, he's feeling well enough to give it a go in the series opener Monday.
