The Padres recalled McCoy from Triple-A El Paso on Friday.
McCoy will log his first stint with the big-league club after being called up Friday. In El Paso this season, the 31-year-old has slashed .284/.359/.408 with 10 homers, 67 RBI, 88 runs scored and 37 stolen bases over 546 plate appearances. The Padres moved Ty France to the paternity leave list to open a spot for McCoy on the active roster.
