The Padres recalled Reynolds from Triple-A El Paso on Sunday.
Right-hander Jhony Brito was optioned to El Paso to clear room in the bullpen for Reynolds, who previously spent two weeks with the Padres back in July. During his prior stint in the big leagues, Reynolds made two appearances, striking out three over 1.2 scoreless innings.
