Peter Strzelecki: Opts out of minor-league contract

The Yankees released Strzelecki on Friday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Strzelecki exercised an opt-out clause in his minor-league contract and is now a free agent. The 31-year-old reliever has collected a 4.81 ERA and 29:5 K:BB over 24.1 frames at the Triple-A level this season. He has not pitched in the majors since 2024.
