Painter gave up five runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three over five innings during Friday's 6-0 loss at Milwaukee.
The rookie right-hander surrendered at least four runs for a third straight outing, though he avoided being charged with a fourth consecutive loss since Tanner Banks gave up a run as the opener. Painter has allowed 12 homers in 13 appearances this season and has a 6.43 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 50:22 K:BB across 63 innings.
