Hoskins (groin) was activated from the 10-day injured list and is batting fifth Sunday against the Padres, Daniel Guerrero of MLB.com reports.

A left groin strain sidelined Hoskins since Aug. 10, but he's back in the lineup for the series finale in San Diego. The injury came at a bad time, as he had hit .394 with five doubles, three home runs and 11 RBI in his last 10 games before going down. Alec Bohm was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move.
