Featherston was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Friday.
In a corresponding move, Emmanuel Burriss was brought up to the big club. Unfortunately, Featherston's .264/.320/.446 line didn't translate to the MLB, as he's hit just .115/.179/.154 over 19 games with the Phillies during the 2016 campaign.
