Joseph is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader against Atlanta, Stephen Gross of The Morning Call reports.
Joseph will retreat to the bench for the second time in the past three games. He went 1-for-4 with one strikeout during Game 1, and will take a seat in favor of Rhys Hoskins at first base.
