Eflin picked up his second loss of the season Tuesday after allowing eight runs on 10 hits in an 8-2 loss to the Rockies. He struck out four and walked two.
Eflin has allowed 15 runs over his last 10 innings, which has ballooned his ERA to 5.54. The young righty doesn't have strikeout stuff, so he is going to have nights like Tuesday where he gets hit around if he isn't locating his pitches. He'll try to get back on track when he faces the Reds in his next start.
