McCutchen went 2-for-5 with two homers and four RBI in Sunday's loss to the Dodgers.
McCutchen got the Pirates on the board with a two-run blast off Tyler Glasnow in the third and then replicated that with another two-run shot in the eighth to tie the game at 4-4. With Sunday's effort, he became one of five players in franchise history with at least 600 extra-base hits. Despite hitting the bench in three straight games coming into Sunday, McCutchen has been swinging a hot bat when in the lineup. Over his last six games, the 37-year-old is slashing .400/.500/.900 with three homers, eight RBI and six runs scored. For the year, McCutchen is slashing .234/.335/.408 with 16 homers, 38 RBI, 59 runs, three steals and a 50:111 BB:K in 424 plate appearances.
