Stallings is not starting Tuesday's game against the Royals, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Although Stallings has hit a respectable .253 off righties this season, lefty hitter Michael Perez will get the start at catcher against the Royals' Brady Singer. Stallings has hit just .177 with 10 strikeouts in his last nine games.
