Cahill (calf) recently suffered a fractured right foot and will be shut down from throwing, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Cahill had been preparing to throw a live batting practice session, but he slipped and fell on the dugout steps recently and is now facing an indefinite shutdown. The right-hander had been dealing with a calf strain, and it's not yet clear when he could return to game action following his foot injury.
