Perez allowed two runs on three hits and three walks with six strikeouts over 6.1 innings but left with just a no-decision Monday against Houston.
This one wound up going into extra-innings, hanging Perez with a no-decision despite his third consecutive quality start. He continues to struggle with walks -- this is the 14th time in 30 starts Perez has walked at least three batters -- and the fact that he has to nibble to record outs places a ceiling on his value. Still, his ERA is down to 4.20, his best mark since he posted a 3.62 ERA in 124.1 innings in 2013.
