Lorenzen (5-6) took the loss against the Blue Jays on Saturday, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks with one strikeout over two-thirds of an inning.
Lorenzen retired the first two batters he faced but things unraveled quickly, as he allowed seven consecutive baserunners and four runs before being pulled at 40 pitches. The 32-year-old's velocity was down on each of his offerings, and he has now yielded four earned runs or more in three of his past five starts. On the season, he owns a 3.87 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 74:48 K:BB over 97.2 innings and lines up for a home matchup with the Red Sox next week.
