Cobb (2-3) tossed eight innings of one-run ball in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Blue Jays, giving up four hits and two walks with three strikeouts.

Cobb turned in arguably his best start of the season in this one, but a run-scoring single in the sixth and a solo homer in the seventh doomed him to a loss, as his club couldn't muster any offense of its own. His strikeout stuff wasn't exactly working Sunday, but the right-hander pitched to contact effectively and induced 11 groundouts in addition to numerous weak flyballs. Cobb has now allowed just four earned runs over his last 19 innings to lower his ERA to a respectable 3.56, and he will look to bounce back from this tough-luck loss Friday against the Red Sox.
