Snell fired 112 pitches and racked up nine strikeouts over 6.2 innings in a start for Triple-A Durham on Friday, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The young southpaw also gave up four earned runs on five hits and four walks, experiencing some of the control problems that led to his demotion in the first place. Snell is 1-0 with a 3.86 ERA and 21:6 K:BB over 11.2 innings across two starts with the Bulls. He's likely due for several more appearances in the minors at a minimum, as the Rays would like to see him put together a stretch of outings during which he locates the ball consistently.
