Lowe isn't starting Wednesday's game against Washington, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Lowe will get a day off after he went 2-for-6 with a pair of solo home runs, a walk and three strikeouts across the last two games. Mike Brosseau will start at second base and bat eighth.
