Roe (shoulder) should begin his rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham on Thursday, Steve Carney of Sports Radio 620 WDAE reports.
As expected, the beginning of Roe's rehab was only delayed a couple days after pregame soreness prevented him from pitching Tuesday. With a unique and effective slider, he's proven to be a valuable, consistent asset for years and should figure into the Rays' late-inning bullpen plans once healthy.
