Reed (thumb) was transferred to the 60-injured list Saturday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
Reed hit the injured list with a left thumb injury Wednesday, and the issue is evidently severe enough to sideline him for at least two months. He'll be ineligible to return until after the All-Star break. The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for the team to claim Deivy Grullon off waivers.
