Smyly (4-11) tossed six innings, allowing two runs, six hits and three walks while striking out two in Tuesday's win against the Blue Jays.

Through his first 18 starts of the year, Smyly was 2-11 with a 5.64 ERA and six quality starts. However, the 27-year-old southpaw has turned things around in recent weeks and is looking more like the pitcher most expected him to be. Smyly has now made four straight quality starts, going 2-0 with a 2.52 ERA and 19:6 K:BB over that stretch. He'll have a good chance to keep rolling as he draws the strikeout-prone Padres in his next start Monday.
