Mejia (shoulder) isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Red Sox, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
Mejia will take a seat for a second straight game with Mike Zunino starting at catcher and batting ninth. However, the 25-year-old said he felt better Tuesday, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him available off the bench in Wednesday's series finale.
