Forsythe (back) will take some swings in the batting cage this afternoon before making a decision on whether he can play Saturday against the Rangers, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Back spasms have kept Forsythe out of the lineup since Tuesday, but it looks as though the veteran has turned a corner and will at least get some swings in Saturday. There's still no guarantee he'll return to the lineup Saturday, but he does appear to be trending in the right direction. A further update on his status will be made available once Tampa Bay releases its lineup.
