Tapia signed a minor-league contract with the Rays on Thursday.
Tapia was cut loose by the Brewers in late July. The 29-year-old outfielder has struggled to a .256/.296/.369 slash line in 187 major-league games since being traded away from Colorado in the spring of 2022.
