Pinto was recalled from Triple-A Durham on Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
He's taking the roster spot vacated by Francisco Mejia, who has landed on the injured list with a sprained knee. Pinto just came back from an injury himself, having missed the last month with a bruised hand. He'll serve as Christian Bethancourt's backup.
