Palacios is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
After starting in each of the Rays' last three games, the left-handed-hitting Palacios will retreat to the bench while southpaw MacKenzie Gores takes the mound for the Rangers. Ben Williamson will replace Palacios at second base and will bat seventh.
