Rays manager Kevin Cash said Friday that Palacios will miss 4-to-6 weeks due to a right knee sprain, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Palacios was placed on the injured list Friday after spraining his right knee in Wednesday's game against the Marlins. The timeline would put Palacios on track to return to action in late August or early September, with his absence opening up more opportunities for Jonny DeLuca, Kameron Misner and Dylan Carlson in the outfield. Prior to his injury, Palacios was slashing .233/.350/.332 with 19 stolen bases, five home runs and 21 RBI across 300 plate appearances this season.
