Gilmartin was outrighted to the Rays' alternate training site Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Gilmartin cleared waivers after being designated for assignment by the Rays on Sunday, and he'll remain in the 60-man player pool at the alternate camp. The southpaw pitched 3.1 innings of long relief while he was part of the major-league roster, and it's unclear whether he'll return to the big leagues at some point in 2020.
