Gilmartin cleared waivers and accepted an outright assignment to the Rays' alternate squad, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Gilmartin went unclaimed on waivers once again, and he'll remain with the Rays as part of the alternate club during the postseason. The southpaw gave up four runs over 4.1 relief innings during the regular season.
