Making his second start of the season, Rays left-hander Matt Moore struggled again on Tuesday against the Royals. Moore went 4 1/3 innings, allowing four runs on nine hits. He walked two and struck out one, and he did not factor into the decision.

With the bases loaded in the second inning, Moore hit Alex Gordon with a pitch, forcing in a run. Then Kendrys Morales hit a two-run single. Gordon then launched a solo home run in the fourth inning.

Moore threw 85 pitches on Tuesday, and has allowed four runs in each of his first two starts since returning from Tommy John surgery.
