Mesa is not in the lineup Tuesday for Game 4 of the World Series versus the Brewers.
Mesa has had a rough postseason, going 6-for-39 (.154) with a 34.1 percent strikeout rate. He'll begin Tuesday's festivities on the bench but could make an appearance mid-game. Ryan Vilade will start in right field and will bat seventh as the Rays try to stave off elimination.
