Franco extended his on-base streak to 39 games with a single in the first inning, but he was examined by trainers after advancing to third base on a Nelson Cruz double. The specifics of the 20-year-old's injury aren't yet known, but he was replaced by a pinch runner following his visit with the team's trainers.
