Diaz was removed from Sunday's game against the Yankees with left groin tightness, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.
The 31-year-old doubled and scored during the first inning but tweaked his groin while running the bases. Diaz will have a team off day Monday to aid in his recovery ahead of Tuesday's series opener against the Mets. Isaac Paredes stepped in at first base in his place Sunday.
