Diaz is out of the lineup Friday against the Blue Jays, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
Diaz went 2-for-7 with a solo homer during the three-game set in Washington and will head to the bench Friday. Ji-Man Choi will start at first base while Austin Meadows serves as the designated hitter.
