Chirinos played catch again prior to Sunday's game with his injured middle finger taped, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Chirinos appears to be tolerating the catch sessions well, but he's yet to throw off a mound. The right-hander remains without a timetable for return, and Topkin separately reports Chirinos is a "long way away" from returning.
