Bello did not factor into the decision in Monday's 5-4 win over Texas, allowing one run on four hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out five.
The 25-year-old notched his eighth quality start of the season -- and third since the All-Star break -- with this 95-pitch appearance. Bello held the Rangers to no extra-base hits, as the only run he yielded came on a Marcus Semien knock in the fifth inning. Post-break, the Boston right-hander has pitched to a 3.86 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 29:11 K:BB over 29 innings across five starts. He lines up to face the first-place Orioles in Baltimore for his next outing this weekend.
