Johnson was placed on the temporary inactive list Saturday to seek treatment for an anxiety issue, Evan Drellich of the Boston Herald reports.
Johnson has struggled at Triple-A Pawtucket of late, including his most recent outing in which he allowed six runs over five innings. Johnson is required to sit out for a minimum of three consecutive days while on the temporary inactive list.
