Wong was optioned to Triple-A Worcester on Sunday, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.
Wong was recalled from Worcester on Saturday and will return to the minors a day later. The 25-year-old has appeared in five games for Boston in 2021 and is 3-for-12 with a double, a walk and two runs.
