Palka was reassigned to minor-league camp by the Red Sox on Friday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
Palka signed a minor-league deal with an invitation to spring training in February, but was a longshot to make the Opening Day roster. The outfielder will likely report to Triple-A Worcester, and he will need to be placed on the 40-man roster in order to receive a promotion to Boston.
