Potts was outrighted to the minors by the Red Sox on Friday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
Potts was designated for assignment by Boston on Tuesday, and he'll remain in the organization after going unclaimed on waivers. The righty made 15 starts at Double-A Portland last year and posted a 4.66 ERA and 1.42 WHIP in 63.2 innings. He'll likely begin the 2022 campaign in Portland.
