Bennett (8-6) earned the win Sunday, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits and a walk over seven innings against the Giants. He struck out six.

Bennett ran into trouble early, surrendering three runs across the first two innings, but settled in to complete seven frames as part of a winning effort. The rookie's effectiveness had been waning of late, as he posted a 5.67 ERA and 1.44 WHIP over 27 innings in his previous five starts entering Sunday. With an overall 3.49 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 67:18 K:BB across 87.2 innings (15 starts), the southpaw is tentatively slated to pitch next weekend on the road against the Yankees.
