Duran went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer, two doubles and two runs scored in the second game of Monday's doubleheader against Toronto. He finished 1-for-4 with a home run in the opener, which was the resumption of a June 26 game suspended by rain.
The Red Sox were swept by the Blue Jays, but Duran had a big day. He provided Boston's lone run in the afternoon's 4-1 loss before the multi-hit effort in the nightcap. Duran knocked a leadoff double in the first inning before doubling again and coming around to score in the third. The outfielder capped off his day with a two-run blast in the eighth for his 19th home run of the year. Duran had just one multi-hit performance over his previous eight games entering Monday but has gone 11-for-24 (.325) over his last nine contests. He owns an impressive .293/.353/.523 slash line with a whopping 74 extra-base hits and 91 runs scored through 128 games.
