Pivetta allowed two runs on two hits and a walk while striking out five over 4.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Rangers on Sunday.
Pivetta wasn't all that sharp, throwing 44 of 70 pitches for strikes in this short outing. It was the second time in his last three starts that he's failed to complete five frames. He's also allowed multiple home runs, including solo shots by Corey Seager and Josh Jung in Sunday's contest, in each of his last three outings. For the season, Pivetta has a 4.44 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 117:23 K:BB through 95.1 innings over 18 starts. His next outing is projected to be at home versus the Astros.
