Pivetta (6-12) allowed two runs on four hits and a walk over 6.2 innings Friday, striking out six and taking a loss against the Rays.
Pivetta worked through six shutout frames before the Rays broke a scoreless tie with a pair of runs in the seventh inning. He delivered three quality starts in five outings this month, posting a strong 2.54 ERA during that span. Pivetta forced 15 swinging strikes Friday, the most he's recorded since July 10. He finishes the 2024 campaign with a 4.14 ERA and an impressive 172:36 K:BB through 145.2 innings.
