Casas is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rays.
The lefty-hitting Casas will take a seat with ace southpaw Shane McClanahan on the bump for Tampa Bay. Justin Turner will step in at first base in place of Casas, who is hitting .148 (but getting on base at a .361 clip) in 36 plate appearances versus southpaws in 2023.
