Wood (back) is scheduled to throw live batting practice Tuesday, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
Wood has yet to pitch in the majors this season due to the back issues but appears to be trending in a positive direction after completing a 35-pitch bullpen session Saturday without incident. If all goes well Tuesday, the 28-year-old could embark on a minor-league rehab assignment, which is likely to be a lengthy one given his extended absence.
